Creating a Parsing Method (DRP)

Top  Previous  Next

DRPWhen files are recognized by the system and matched to a saved Data Recognition (Extraction) Pattern (DRP), the data extraction is done automatically without user involvement. However, when a new type of file is uploaded and is not recognized by the system, a user needs to define the objects in the document that he/she wants to extract. This is done through the Document Template Designer window using visual tools.

Data Recognition (Extraction) Patterns (DRPs) are templates that include information about the relevant data to be parsed from the document, and its destination. Elements such as keywords, tables, and graphs are identified and mapped to a UXML structure. This may be done manually by the user or automatically by the system and edited later by the user.

The next sub-sections will help you design a DRP template that answers your particular requirements.
