Multirun documents are usually reports of several samples with a repeating structure. To increase efficiency and to make the training process as easy and rapid as possible, the parser allows you to define a data extraction method for the first (parent) section and apply it to all repeated sections. An example of a multirun document can contain the following repeated structure: a set of keywords, chromatograph, and a results table.
>> To create a multirun data extraction method
1. | Identify objects (such as keywords, tables, and graphs) for the first section and click the Multirun button to open the Multirun window. |
2. | Select the range from which to select the parent objects using the Range start element and Range end element drop-down lists. |
3. | Highlight the objects that comprise the parent run in the Available elements pane. The selected objects are displayed in the preview pane as shown below: |

4. | Click Confirm to apply the multirun definition. The system automatically identifies objects in repeated sections. Notice that all repeated sections in the document are identified in the same way as in the parent section. |
IMPORTANT After creating the multirun data extraction method, only objects in the parent section can be modified. When attempting to modify an object in a repeated section, the MultiRun sign is displayed on top of the object. Modifying the parent object definition updates the corresponding objects in the repeated sections.
