You can save a copy of a document from SDMS to your computer for reference.
IMPORTANT If you change a saved copy, and you want to upload the modified copy, be aware that you are processing the document outside of the source control provided by SDMS. That is, another user can check out and check in the document while you are also working on the document, in which case one document will supersede the other without containing changes from the other. So, although you can save and change a copy, it is frequently a better practice to check out a document in order to make use of the source control provided by SDMS.
